Chan Kong-sang (born 7 April 1954), known professionally as Jackie Chan, is a Hong Kong martial artist, actor, film director, producer, stuntman, and singer. He is well known for his acrobatic fighting styles and comic timing. He started acting in the 1960 and has featured in over 150 films. Jackie Chan first appeared in a film at age 8 in Big and Little Wong Tin Bar, his latest movie is Kung fu Yoga.
Till date he has won 28 awards and was nominated for 34 more. He holds the Guinness World Record for the most amount of stunts performed by a living actor. Chan began his film career as a stuntman in the Bruce Lee films, Fist of Fury and Enter the Dragon.

Jackie Chan almost lost his life at multiple occasions and has suffered from some major injuries which include a lot of broken bones.
Even though he has a net worth of 395 million dollars, No insurance company will underwrite Chan’s productions, in which he performs all his own stunts. After a number of stuntmen were injured during the making of Police Story, the star formed the Jackie Chan Stuntmen Association. Here he trains the stuntmen personally and pays for their medical bills out of his own pocket.
Behind his gentle smile there is a world full of pain. He even holds the record for the most amount of retakes. For his movie Dragon lord he took 2900 retakes for a 10 minute scene. Jackie Chan even performs when he is injured. He doesn’t understand Hollywood. Moreover, he doesn’t understand the concept of car chase formulated film. You all might be wondering then why did he act in the “Rush Hour” series? The answer is simple, he was payed truck loads of money.
He is an actor who is liked by everyone and hated by none. Chan always played the good guy roles expect in Rumble in Hong Kong. After 50 years and 200 movies he finally won an Oscar adding another feather to his hat.
